Hello Parents!!!
My name is Ryan Snell. I have lived in central IL most of my life. I graduated from EPCHS in 1991. After high school I attended ICC and started working towards my PGA Class A Certification, which I earned in 2002. I have worked at various golf courses in Central Illinois as a PGA Professional. I also had the opportunity to coach the golf team at Normal U-High, and during my tenure as a coach we won 5 state championships. I returned to college and graduated from Illinois State University in 2005 with my Bachelors Degree in Education. My passion has been, and continues to be, watching kids grow and develop. I am in my 12th year here at Robein and have had a number of positions during my time at the school. I also currently serve as the Athletic Director.
I have been married to my beautiful wife, Traci, for 22 years. We have two children Palmer, 14 and Campbell, 12 that keep us busy with all their activities.
There are many different areas and topics I would like to cover during this time in your child’s life. My approach to physical education is a simple one, I pride myself on providing students the opportunities they need to engage and learn through a variety of age and developmentally appropriate activities. Fitness concepts will be integrated throughout all activities of participation in daily physical activity.
I am a strong proponent in that students can pursue a life filled with physical activity. My hope is that your child is learning in an environment which they enjoy and at the same time, gives them an opportunity to understand the importance of being physically active. I hope that my presence on a daily basis will leave a lasting impact on your child through my ability to promote the importance that participation in daily activity will play in the effort to lead a healthy, and physically active life.
